Tex Automation Research&Development beyond Cattolica
After the first decade, Tex Computer recognized the need to upgrade its technical area. Having completed the initial phase of controlling and managing circuit board, it was time to move to a second phase that also included in-house product design.
Creating a dedicated Research&Development department was crucial. This news R&D team was capable of designing and developing the numerical controls in full autonomy, providing a constant technological advantage to our parent company, Fom Industrie.
The ongoing dialogue between the design, technical, manufacturing and post-installation product assistance departments remained efficient, even with the new Tex Computer R&D center located in Faenza, approximately 90 km from our headquarter in Cattolica.
The choice of location was determined by the need to attract a team of technicians with specific background expertise in numerical controls, accelerating the start-up of the new technical center.
The benefits of having a dedicated R&D department, where technicians can balance advanced research with the needs of mass production, continue to be an effective model for Tex Automation. This approach allows us to stay ahead in the world of manufacturing.
Many steps have been pivotal for Tex Automation’s growth over these first 40 years, but opening the R&D center in Faenza in 1995 was undoubtedly a milestone. It granted us full autonomy over the numerical control component, essential for managing the know-how of the machines manufactured by Fom Industrie.
Stay tuned to discover how our commitment to innovation and excellence continues to drive Tex Automation forward!
